I would highly recommend going through Pan Aqua Diving for anyone looking to be PADI certified. I took the 3 day evening course which consisted of all the classroom and pool work. Graham (our instructor) was so knowledgeable, incredibly patient and very helpful. I bought my fins, booties, mask and snorkel through the shop and would only buy any future gear through them as well.
I did my open water dives in the Grand Cayman islands and HIGHLY recommend that to all -- both experienced and first time divers. Pan Aqua has several different dive trips that they coordinate - open to all.
Pan Aqua has a wondeful staff, excellent instructors, and superb customer service. If you want to learn Scuba, look no further. It's rare to find a true independent business with small-town friendliness in Manhattan, especially in Hell's Kitchen.
Colin M., BrooklynJust finished my PADI dive trainings (classroom and confined water dives) with Peter! I am so happy I chose Pan Aqua to start my life-long venture into diving! I opted for the weeknight classes, Monday/Wednesday 7:30-11:30 and I really enjoyed myself. Peter made the classes fun and ensured all his students felt comfortable with each skill. The Manhattan Plaza Healthcare Club has a beautiful pool to boot... makes me want to join and be a member! Looking forward to taking more trainings thru Pan Aqua!!
LeAnn L., BrooklynThis was a great place for beginners to try scuba diving for the first time in a safe and friendly environment. Our instructor was charismatic and patient, which are two things we all look for in a diving instructor! My friends and I had a great time with Pan Aqua and have recommended it to our friends and families.
